Andy Gilchrist

Andy is an exciting, up-and-coming screenwriter who writes across children’s animation, sitcoms and adult drama.

Andy was the winner of the BAFTA Rocliffe New Writing Forum (Children’s Media) in 2016 with his original animated comedy THE UNDEAD DETECTIVES AGENCY. His original scripts have previously been longlisted by BBC Writer’s Room, BAFTA Rocliffe New Writing Forum (TV Drama & TV Comedy), CBBC New Voices, and have reached the quarter finals of the Screenwriting Goldmine Awards. He was the winner of the Stage 32 Happy Writer’s TV Writing Contest in 2015 (30min spec category), and won the Empire Award (Television Spec Script category) at the New York Screenplay Contest 2015.

He is currently developing several original live action ideas.

Andy also works as a senior solicitor at an international law firm, K&L Gates LLP, where he has a particular expertise in intellectual property, technology, cyber-security and privacy issues.
