Claire Miller is an experienced Drama Scriptwriter and Script Editor. As a Scriptwriter, Claire writes regularly for BBC’s CASUALTY, and wrote the explosive finale for the show’s 30th anniversary year. She has written across multiple series of CBBC’S THE DUMPING GROUND and THE WORST WITCH, and also writes regularly for HOLBY CITY.
Her first original radio drama NOW, WHERE WERE WE? aired on BBC Radio4 in 2017. Claire was also commissioned to write seven online episodes to accompany the CBBC drama HARRIET’S ARMY. She has also had two original ideas optioned by Clerkenwell Films. She is currently developing a new original drama script and writing on a new series for Cottonwood GmbH and ZDF.
Claire has previously worked as storyliner and script editor on the STELLA Series 4 for Tidy Productions. Other script editing credits include YOUNG DRACULA, EMMERDALE, CASUALTY and THE BILL.
Claire also runs The Script Workshop, offering courses and reading services to aspiring television writers and was a mentor on the Scriptwriting BA course at Bolton University. She has a BA in Psychology and an MA in Scriptwriting for Radio and Television.
