GHA also represents the film, television, stage and radio rights in a broad range of book titles on behalf of our scriptwriting clients who are also published authors and also on a case by case basis on behalf of a select number of literary agencies, independent literary agents and authors including the Jonathan Conway Literary Agency, the Jonathan Pegg Literary Agency and the Alice Williams Literary Agency.

We consider each published title recommended to us on an individual basis and only represent titles we genuinely believe are suitable for adaptation and likely to find a home in the marketplace. We do not accept unsolicited submissions from authors directly seeking the representation of the dramatic rights in their work.

Gemma has a long standing track record of selling books to film/TV and the stage, with deals that include DreamWorks’ HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON, based on the books by Cressida Cowell, (represented by DHA), Alexander McCall Smith’s NO.1 LADIES’ DETECTIVE AGENCY, (represented by DHA) produced by the late Anthony Minghella for The Weinstein Company, and a feature adaptation of international bestseller Bernard Cornwell’s AZINCOURT for Luc Roeg’s Independent Film Company (represented by Toby Eady Associates).
