An American, John has worked in TV on both sides of the Atlantic. A writer, creative producer, and script doctor, John has significantly contributed to the entertainment industry alongside his writing partner Kirstie Falkous. Their expertise played a crucial role in shaping the first seven seasons of Doc Martin, ‘the highest-rated drama on British TV’, which also gained popularity in the US and inspired adaptations in seven countries.
John and Kirstie’s original YA drama, Zero Chill, set in the worlds of ice hockey and ice skating, was a hit on Netflix. Their current projects include the adaptation of a novel for television/streaming with Village Roadshow in the US and developing a family mystery series with Be Collective in Canada.
John’s latest project is a feature film The Late Great Johnny Ace, which tells the true story of rock ‘n’ roll’s first casualty.
