Kirstie, a writer, creative producer, and script doctor, has significantly contributed to the entertainment industry alongside her writing partner John Regier. Their expertise played a crucial role in shaping the first seven seasons of Doc Martin, the highest-rated drama on British TV, which also gained popularity in the US and inspired adaptations in seven countries.
Kirstie’s writing talents are evident in her work for the Emmy Award-winning Free Rein and the BAFTA-winning Wolfblood (CBBC), along with Strange Hill High, The Lodge, Ted’s Top Ten, The Secret Life of Boys and others. She’s also active in the animated film sector, with two feature films scheduled for release in 2025 and 2026.
Kirstie and John’s original YA drama, Zero Chill, set in the worlds of ice hockey and ice skating, was a hit on Netflix. Their current projects include the adaptation of a novel for television/streaming with Village Roadshow in the US and developing a family mystery series with Be Collective in Canada.
