Lisa is a writer of television, film, digital and stage. She is one of the Edinburgh TV Festival’s Ones To Watch 2018, and the winner of the US Indie Series Award for Best Drama Writing for her digital series, 3SOME. She has recently rejoined the EASTENDERS writing team for BBC Studios and developed an original series with Jed Mercurio and Hat Trick Productions. She has developed her original crime drama series with Channel X, and a new drama project for Nevision. She has recently written a drama pilot, SMOKE AND MIRRORS, set in the glitzy and gritty world of wrestling and organised crime in Liverpool, and inspired by her lifelong love of wrestling.
Before becoming a writer, Lisa worked as a brickie, barista, NHS manager and wrestling ring announcer, and is passionate about bringing her working-class roots to her writing.
Most recently Lisa was selected as a delegate in 2023’s Edinburgh TV Festival’s ReConnect initiative. She has also been working with Rollem Productions as part of a development writersroom for a new drama series.
